Kim Short joined the board of the nonprofit called Simon's Angels in 2011. They raise money for pediatric transplant patients and their families.
2/17/22 - AFRW hosted a Volusia County School Board, District 3 Candidate Forum
These students start working with Sodexo while they are still in high school, and then transition to being full time with Sodexo upon graduation. This program is a win-win for Sodexo, and the students in our exceptional student educational programs here in Volusia County Schools.
1/22/22 - Kim Short substitute teaching for a United States History class at Campbell Middle School.

10/21/12: Kim’s first day as a substitute teacher in Volusia County Schools, at NSBMS. (Her goal is to work in all the District 3 schools.)
Kim is the VCCPTA Treasurer for 2021-2022. She is also the VCCPTA Legislative Chair and the Business Partner Liaison, which she began doing back in 2019.
Kim began volunteering back in 2007, when her oldest son began Kindergarten. She’s been recognized numerous times for her hard work and dedication, as a parent volunteer.
Kim attended the community workshops at Read-Pattillo Elementary, back in 2018, and advocated to keep the school open. (It was in discussion to close it at the time, when Chisholm was being built.)
Kim is a proud supporter of the Pace Center for Girls, Volusia - Flagler.
